Welcome to Spotlight Studios Dance!
At Spotlight Studios Dance, we’re proud to offer exciting dance classes for all ages—from toddlers taking their first dance steps to adults rediscovering their passion for movement. Whether you’re into tap, jazz, ballet, or musical theater, there’s something here for everyone.
Our studio is built on a foundation of safety, positivity, inclusion, and fun, creating a space where every dancer feels welcome, supported, and inspired. We are excited to serve the surrounding communities of Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay and more —let’s dance!
Our Classes - What to Expect
Tap (Beginner) – Learn rhythm, timing, and sound clarity through foundational steps like shuffles, flaps, and cramp rolls. Classes focus on musicality, coordination, and fun choreography that keeps dancers engaged and progressing.
Jazz (Beg) – Jazz classes at Spotlight are high-energy and expressive. Dancers work on isolations, kicks, turns, and jumps while developing strong technique and dynamic stage presence. Each class blends classic jazz with modern flair.
Ballet (Beg)– As the cornerstone of all dance styles, ballet helps students build grace, posture, flexibility, and discipline. Our ballet classes include barre work, center technique, and across-the-floor combinations that develop control and confidence.
Pre Ballet (Ages 2-4) - A wonderful first dance class for young ones to get them ready for any dance style.
Hip Hop (Beg) – These upbeat classes are packed with style and attitude. Students learn foundational grooves, footwork, and choreography set to popular music. Great for building rhythm, expression, and self-confidence.
Acro (Ages 7 -18) - A wonderful blend of dance and gymnastic moves and choreography. Learn ariels, cartwheels, handsprings and much more!
Music and Movement (Ages 1.5-4)- These music and movement classes are all about getting our little ones moving! Aimed at ages 1.5-4 this is a great way for your little one to get exposed to the joys of dance through fundamental movements such as clapping, marching, jumping and more! There are rhythmic based props, instruments and exercises that make this class are great first class to exploring both dance and music.
High Energy Movers! (Ages- 4-7) A fun dance class to get energy out! We explore different genres of dance including hip hop, jazz and contemporary creating a fun and safe space with move and grove!
Pop and Play Dance (Ages 5-10) - A high-energy dance class that rotates through kid-favorite themes like Disney heroes, Taylor Swift, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and more. Dancers learn dance basics through fun weekly combos set to age-appropriate hits. A hype, beginner friendly dance class that changes theme every week inspired by kids' favorite music and characters.
Adult Dance - At Spotlight Studios we believe you are never too old to start finding or rediscovering your love of movement and dance! These low pressure yet stimulating classes teach basic movements and put them to work through practice and choreography. Most classes are meant for beginners but if you are more experienced, our instructors have designed these classes to allow of more advanced techniques in be swapped in.
Adaptive Dance - Join us for a welcoming and inclusive class designed for individuals of all abilities and learning needs. This class offers a supportive environment where dancers are encouraged to move their bodies, express themselves, and experience the joy of dance—at their own pace. Whether seated or standing, with or without previous dance experience, every participant is celebrated for who they are and how they move. Our focus is on creating a fun, positive, and empowering experience that meets each dancer where they’re at, honoring every individual’s unique strengths and style. Through music, movement, and connection, Adaptive Dance fosters creativity, confidence, and community—because everyone deserves to dance.
Each class at Spotlight Studios Dance is thoughtfully structured to include warm-ups, technique development, across-the-floor exercises, choreography and of course, fun! Our positive, inclusive environment encourages every dancer to shine, grow, and fall in love with the art of dance.
Dress Code
At Spotlight Dance we believe dancers should dress comfortably, functionally, and modestly. Please review our dress codes for each class below!
All Ballet - Black Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Black ballet skirt may be worn if desired. No dangling jewelry. Boys wear white or black fitted shirt and black pants or shorts (nothing baggy). Hair pulled back in a bun.
Tap - Comfortable, form fitting clothing (leotards are always welcome) and black tap shoes. No dangling jewelry. Boys may wear a white fitted shirt and black pants or shorts. Hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun.
Tap/Ballet Combo - Black Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Black tap shoes. Black ballet skirt may be worn if desired. No dangling jewelry. Boys wear white or black fitted shirt and black pants or shorts (nothing baggy). Hair back in a bun.
Pop and Play - Comfortable non restrictive clothing. Close toed shoes.
High Energy Movers - Comfortable non restrictive clothing. Close toed shoes.
Acro - Comfortable non restrictive clothing. Close toed shoes (shoes may also be taken off during class) Girls should have hair in a pony tail or pulled back.
Jazz - Form fitting, comfortable dance clothing. Leotards are always welcome. Jazz shoes. Boys may wear fitted shirt and pants or shorts. No dangling jewelry. Hair back in a ponytail.
Hip Hop - Comfortable non restrictive clothing. Tennis shoes/sneakers. Sweat pants, t shirts, and tank tops ok. No jeans.
Adult Dance - Non restrictive, comfortable clothing. Shoes appropriate for whichever class is being taken.
Musical Theater - Comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. No jeans.
Music and Movement - Comfortable clothing with closed toe shoes.
*Coverups are suggested for coming in and out of the studio. Please do not wear dance shoes from outside into the studio. Dancers may change shoes once inside.
