Studio Policies
Music Studio and Tutoring Policies
Payment: We use a reoccurring online invoice system. Please just fill out your info on our contact/billing page and you will receive an invoice on the 1st of each month. Payment is considered late after the 15th of the month at which time a $25 Late Fee will be attached. You have the option to save your card or enroll in auto pay!
Months with 5 lesson days: Some months will have 5 lesson days in it. We give that extra lesson at no cost to you! There are some months with studio holidays that we are closed. Those months will be charged the same amount as well. Over the course of the year these generally even out.
Tardiness: If you are more than 10 mins late to your lesson without communication your lesson will be forfeited. If you are are within 10 mins we will continue with a shorter lesson.
Refunds/Cancellation: We require two paid lesson weeks notice before canceling. If you cancel toward the end of the month we will prorate two weeks worth of lessons in the new month. To cancel lessons please fill out our Cancellation Form.
Missed Lessons/Reschedules: We need at least 24 hours notice to make up a lesson. Each student is allowed 2 reschedules/make up lessons each quarter. Quarters are Jan-March, April-June, July-Sep, Oct-Dec. Summer months we are more flexible, please just let us know ahead of time. Due to the nature of group lessons and classes at schools, we are unable to provide individual make ups for those types of classes.
Dance Studio Policies

Missed Lessons/Reschedules: We allow two missed lessons per quarter to be made up in another class of your choosing (pending age is appropriate). Please inform us that your student will miss class and we will help you choose another class for a make up.
Registration Fees/Cancellations: Upon the start of each dance semester we require a non refundable $40 Registration fee that will be included on your first invoice. If you need to cancel for any reason please give us 2 weeks notice before the end of the month by filling out a cancellation form so we can stop billing. We do not refund anything that has been charged.
Dance Dress Code
At Spotlight Dance we believe dancers should dress comfortably, functionally, and modestly. Please review our dress codes for each class below!
All Ballet - Black Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Black ballet skirt may be worn if desired. No dangling jewelry. Boys wear white or black fitted shirt and black pants or shorts (nothing baggy). Hair pulled back in a bun.
Tap - Comfortable, form fitting clothing (leotards are always welcome) and black tap shoes. No dangling jewelry. Boys may wear a white fitted shirt and black pants or shorts. Hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun.
Tap/Ballet Combo - Black Leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Black tap shoes. Black ballet skirt may be worn if desired. No dangling jewelry. Boys wear white or black fitted shirt and black pants or shorts (nothing baggy). Hair back in a bun.
Jazz - Form fitting, comfortable dance clothing. Leotards are always welcome. Jazz shoes. Boys may wear fitted shirt and pants or shorts. No dangling jewelry. Hair back in a ponytail.
Hip Hop - Comfortable non restrictive clothing. Tennis shoes/sneakers. Sweat pants, t shirts, and tank tops ok. No jeans.
Musical Theater - Comfortable clothing and close toed shoes.
Parent and Me Classes - Children should wear comfortable clothing with close toed shoes.
*For all classes dancers should not have their mid drift showing (no crop tops). Coverups are suggested for coming in and out of the studio. Please do not wear dance shoes from outside into the studio. Dancers may change once inside.
